🔴 Red Nose Day 2024 🔴
We have had another jam packed day raising money for Red Nose Day. The students, along with staff, have enjoyed taking part and hosting lots of different activities such as face painting, pie face, wet sponge throwing, a human fruit machine, a yummy bun sale and a Sponsored Route!

We would like to say a massive thank you to those who donated, contributed to the bake sale, sponsored the route around both school sites and all the staff involved who arranged a fantastic day for the students. We have raised over £1,000 so far! 🤩

Big thanks to all who attended our Ravenscliffe Book Meet at the Spring Hall Cafe! It was lovely to hear from some of our students who read passages from their favourite books, as well as listen to Brian Abrams (well-known Author of the 'Grandad Wheels' series!) tell us all about his books - he is currently working on story no.6!!
Thanks also to our teacher - Sam who was asked at the last minute to share his stories with everyone, from sentimental texts passed down through family to a book he has written himself!
Lastly - a massive thank you to the Cafe team who put on all the refreshments - the lemon cake and flapjacks went down a storm!!

Here’s an update from Cafe at the Track!

We have had a brilliant day celebrating World Book Day across both sites at Ravenscliffe. KS3/4 dressed as their favourite characters and KS5 wore clothes that expressed themselves.
This year's theme is 'Read Your Way' so staff and students have been sharing their favourite books and how they like to read them (books, audiobooks, e-devices and more!), our Ramblers this morning even stopped off at Bankfield Museum for a read on route!
Each student has received a World Book Day token which can be redeemed at a bookshop for a free book - some students went on a visit to The Thoughtful Spot to do this today! We are looking forward to our reading carousel tomorrow afternoon when even more teachers, and Parents/Carers, will be sharing their favourite books and how they like to read them. Happy reading!
