Leo Group Ball raises £250,000

You are here:

The most incredible news to round off an amazing year

We have the best of news to report to all our families, staff, governors and our wider community of loyal friends and supporters as we enter the last week of term.

On Saturday 15th July we attended the Summer Ball for Spring Hall organised by Leo Group Ltd, based in Queensbury, along with many of their business associates and friends.

10 of our students danced and sang their hearts out during this Ball and were rewarded with a standing ovation and subsequently a quite unprecedented level of generosity.

We are delighted to report that the Leo Group Ball raised £250,000 (no typos!) for the SpringHall equipping costs, meaning that the school and its army of supporters local, national, and international have now raised approximately £1.7m to supplement the £1.6m pledged by Calderdale Council back in 2014. This amazing level of additional public and voluntary sector funding will allow us to try and equip the building to the highest standards for both the school and Calderdale community to use long into the future.

We are expecting the new centre to open in September 2018.

We are so grateful to Danny Sawrij, Chief Executive at Leo Group and all his colleagues, friends and supporters who have just helped to make the SpringHall dream feel more and more possible.

The photo above, shows Danny and the Ravenscliffe student performers prior to them rocking the marquee and attracting the quite staggering financial support that followed!

We are still pinching ourselves that this actually happened!

More information will follow in due course. Have a great summer!
