At Ravenscliffe, we take our safeguarding and child protection practice and procedures seriously. In fact, it underpins everything that we do. Multi agency research indicates young people with learning difficulties have significantly increased vulnerability within all aspects of Safeguarding and with this in mind, we have a dedicated, qualified and professional team of Designated Safeguarding Officers at Ravenscliffe. These are:
|Janet Neagle||Designated Safeguarding Lead|
|Martin Moorman||Designated Safeguarding Lead|
|Gareth Hunter||Designated Safeguarding Officer|
|Claire Hamilton||Designated Safeguarding Officer|
|Daniel Pardoe||Designated Safeguarding Officer|
If you have any concerns, you can speak to any member of the Safeguarding Team in full confidence.
The document below, "Keeping Children Safe in Education", provides lots of useful policies and procedures that we adhere to in order to keep our community safe. The document "What to do if you are worried a child is being abused" may also be of use to colleagues and indeed members of the wider community.
When it comes to Safeguarding, we believe we can always look to improve on our practice. With that in mind, we undertake regular self-assessment and also commission audits to scrutinise and help improve our procedures. The latest audit was completed in October 2015 by Rezina Kelly, School's Safeguarding Advisor, and can be seen below.
