Teachers to teach across the curriculum from September 2020
Full time/part time and maternity leave posts - MPS + SEN Allowance £2209
Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College in Halifax has been judged by Ofsted in five successive inspections, as an outstanding Special School most recently in October 2017. The school caters for 187 pupils aged 11-19 with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities.
Due to an increase in student numbers, we are seeking to appoint enthusiastic teachers to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The ideal candidates will have either Special School or early years/primary experience and a knowledge of Core subjects. However, candidates with a background in other sectors will still be considered including NQT. We are looking for someone with an attitude that supports the school’s ethos as a principle requirement. Whilst the posts initially are for one year, for the right candidate, these could be permanent.
Someone with an interest in the following would be beneficial:
- Complex learning difficulties and disabilities (CLDD) including multisensory impairment and this could be suitable for an established experienced teacher or someone keen to develop their career in this field.
- Delivering a range of subjects across the timetable within a Special School setting, with confidence and competence in early literacy and numeracy development.
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and committed staff team working with a fantastic group of young people with additional needs. The posts will provide the right candidates with a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to student learning and progress, help build on our national reputation and extend our positive links with the local community. Training and support will be provided. The school is now a two site provision one mile apart.
Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed and will be possible on Wednesday 12.2.20. at 9.30 am or Thursday 27.2.20. at 9.30 am or 1.30 pm. Please contact Trish Hoyle, School Administration Manager on 01422 358621 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to visit.
Job packs are available from Trish Hoyle by email – email@example.com to whom completed forms should be returned by email only quoting post reference number by 12 noon on the 2 Monday 9 March 2020. Interviews will be held week commencing 23 March 2020.
