Admissions
As a generic secondary specialist school, Ravenscliffe provides education for students aged 11 to 19 years with clearly identified special educational needs. Students are referred to Ravenscliffe by Calderdale Council and it is they who place pupils here. Parents and carers who may be considering Ravenscliffe as a suitable placement for their child should contact Calderdale Children and Young People’s Services first to discuss a possible placement. Details of how to contact the admissions team can be found here.
A preliminary visit to the school can be made after contacting the Headteacher to arrange a suitable date and time. General ‘open’ visits are scheduled once per half term to minimise disruption to the curriculum and students’ learning.

💙 End of the 2025/26 school year 💙
This has been a year filled with achievement, fun and lots of learning opportunities.
Whether in the classroom, on educational visits, through sporting activities, performances, work experience placements or community projects, our students have continued to impress us with their resilience, determination and enthusiasm. It has been wonderful to see so many young people develop their confidence, independence and skills, whilst celebrating their individual successes along the way.
