A team of Students, Staff and Volunteers return from an incredible week in France
The 2015 French Residential took place from 15-22 May 2015. It was the fifth time Ravenscliffe has taken students to PGL Mimosa, on the Mediterranean Coast, and the reception and dedication of the centre staff was as good as ever.
Students took part in a whole host of activities, including Banana Boating, Climbing, Abseiling, Sailing, and Archery. For the most part, the weather was on our side, although when when the clouds rolled in on a couple of occasions the mood in the camp remained buoyant!
Thanks to all the Staff who gave up a significant amount of their own time to chapperone the trip, and to all those left behind holding the fort. We are particularly grateful to all those who fundraised and donated towards the trip, subsidising costs and allowing more students to take part in the trip of a lifetime.
Upon returning, we were contacted by a member of the public, Catherine, who was on the same flight as our group on the way home....
"My husband and I were passengers at Carcassonne airport on Friday 22nd May when a party of your students and staff were travelling on the same plane back to UK. WE felt that we had to get in touch to compliment you on the high standard of behaviour and the caring shown to each other by all the staff and students. We found you because of the uniform so proudly worn by everyone and hope that you will make sure that everone on that trip knows that our journey was made more enjoyable because we were in their vicinity. We cheered with them at take off and laughed out loud at their countdown to landing. Thank you for sharing such lovely people with us."
Thankyou for your kind words Catherine! Check out some photos from the trip in our Gallery here
