MOSAIC is a truly local alliance of 10 schools based in Halifax and nearby. For the year starting in September 2017, we will be working with Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Trinity University and TEAMWORKS TSA to provide a high quality and enjoyable ITT experience for the right candidates. This will be our fourth year working with School Direct trainees and we can guarantee that your placements will be in two of our cluster schools, which are no more than ten miles apart, many of which can offer Post-16 experience to the right candidates. All trainees will also be able to receive a shorter placement in Ravenscliffe, an outstanding local school catering for students with special educational needs and disabilities. Furthermore, the cluster is committed to funding a six day training event with the Princes Teaching Institute for trainees in the relevant subjects. As one of up to forty candidates, we can assure you that you will receive a very personal and friendly experience with us and like our current trainees, you will very quickly feel part of a select team.
The Trinity Teaching School Alliance is one of the largest School Direct providers offering you a rich and diverse training experience. We are an alliance of over 50 schools across Calderdale and Yorkshire, offering both primary and secondary placements in partnership with Huddersfield University, a leading, world-class institution.
With a school-based approach, our placements are as diverse as you and are available in all types of settings from primary schools with early years provision to academies and schools with 6th Forms. Our programmes allow you to become fully involved with your placement school, experiencing a full school year and being a member of the team. The programmes are designed to allow you to learn on the job and upon completion ensures that you are in the best possible position to secure employment.
Our primary and secondary programmes will not only support you to become a qualified teacher with QTS and a PGCE, but we work to ensure that all our trainees have the potential to be outstanding at the end of the programme. Our prospectus provides further information and we invite you to come and meet some of our schools and qualified teachers at an Information Event.
Our School Direct programme is unique, involving a second placement and an action-centred research project. We are here to support you every step of the way and although the decision to invest in your career in teaching may feel like a big one, we guarantee that it is an extremely rewarding investment in your future.
