Teaching Assistants

Full time - 32.5 hours per week (8.40 am to 3.30 pm - M/T/Th/F and 8.40 am to 4.20 pm Weds)

Pay Scale APT & C 1c – 2    all posts are term time only

Ravenscliffe High School is an ambitious and successful secondary special school, catering for well over 200 students aged 11-19 years with a variety of different special educational needs and disabilities.  Due to rising student numbers in particular, we are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants from 1 September 2021, to contribute to a hardworking and committed staff team. This role will include meeting the educational, physical, social and personal needs of the students.

Successful candidates must have GCSE English and Maths qualifications at Grade C or above, together with any relevant NVQ qualifications in Education, Health and Social Care. Previous experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs would be an advantage, however, comprehensive induction, support and training will be available to all successful candidates.

We would particularly welcome applications from colleagues with a recognised Swimming Teacher qualification and an up-to-date Water Rescue certificate, in addition to individuals who are representative of our diverse local community.

Lunchtime Supervisors

1.5 hours per day Monday to Friday (12 noon until 1.30pm) 

£9.43 per hour plus free daily lunch to be taken in your own time.

In this role, you will support students to eat their lunch, ensure students are supervised over the lunchtime period and assist students with their personal care requirements. You will also actively support the on-site kitchen in the serving and delivery of food.
